Out 'n' About

With Kaan a full week old, and the warmth of spring bringing out the blossoms and green shoots of Kosovo, we've been getting out and about the last couple days.

At a picnic at the park near our house, Kamelya munched strawberries and little Albanian meat pies and climbed the steep slope of the hill by our blanket...with no help! Kaan slept soundly. Also with no help.

Then today we went downtown and Kamelya counted the people, and watched the man watering the garden and remembered, as she always does, the four things that plants need to grow: sun, water, soil, and love.

It was fun to get out of the house a bit but we have fun at home too. These two are keeping us on our toes:

And we replace the calories we burn when we're out and about by eating tiramisu made for us by our good friend Maike.

And as you can see, Kamelya doesn't leave the house unless she's the picture of fashion:
