After weeks of scheming we finally got to take a family trip to Lebanon, and were lucky enough to go with our friends Andrea, Jeff, Katie and Sydney. The three-night trip gave us a sampling of big city life, culture, and nature...and incredible food. Unfortunately they don't allow cameras inside the Jeita Grotto, an astounding underground wonderland ("cave" doesn't really do it justice) of rock formations and subterranean rivers, so there are no shots of that. But Kamelya and Kaan also loved the cable cars, the shwarma, the green and snowy mountains, and hanging out with their buddies. Mama and Daddy loved getting away for an evening meal sans kids, the lively feel of the city, greenery, and hanging out with their buddies. If Beirut is our next posting you won't hear us complain.
