ildir

we are leaving for sakiz adasi (chios) in the morning. i'm up late because i had a nap with kaan this afternoon. i know this is too many photos but i want to go to bed and don't want to edit them so here you go. ildir was homer's hometown and although we didn't visit them this time, there are also beautiful roman ruins with breathtaking views of the sea. ildir smells like figs and wild thyme and oregano and the aegean and its one of my favorite places in the whole world.

we are safe in turkey, away from the unrest in egypt and will be here for the foreseeable future. there is nowhere else we would rather be right now.
