Mirupafshim, Kosovo!

Well, Kosovo has given us two years of happy memories, buckets of yummy peppers, dozens of (ahem) low-cost DVDs, great friends, very small Albanian vocabularies, and a son, but it's time to move on!

On Saturday, September 24th we move to Izmir to spend a few months eating gevrek, getting spoiled by relatives and generally being dazzled by the quality of life. Hopefully they will understand the strange words we've learned here in Kosovo, like "cesme", "maymun" and "burek", which are probably impossible to translate into Turkish.

We're so excited to go and hopefully soon we will have enough pieces of functioning technology to start posting on the blog regularly again. Until then, those who want to hear Kamelya's rendition of "Lean On Me" live and in person are welcome to drop by Nene's place in Alsancak!
